Few Can Kay Ibsen. There are few enough even among the very best of American player3 tocbiy who have a right to assume that they can play Ibsen to present the struggle of ideas, the transition of emotions, the real inner life of the cultivated individual. To this the highest of cuture is necessary, a perfect knowledge of the world's progress in thought and affairs, a more than ordinary understanding of the springs of human feeling as well as the temperament, the high quality of mind that is given to the few. Miss Alberta Gallatin, who will be seen at the Gennett theater tomorrow night in "Ghosts" possesses all of the above requirements. Her work shows great emotional power, perfect training and subtle skill. Her conception of the author's ideal is remarkable. Ibsen's "Ghosts," with Miss Gallatin, will be the notable di-amatic event of the year. "He kept his sympathetic spectators breathless and his Maurice Desmond was much nearer a romantic hero than the straw-stuged puppets of the book plays and it had the quieter touches that an actor of his training naturally gave. The audience liked it all." N. Y. Commercial Ad vertiser, December 1st. "The play is interesting and is made more so by Mr. MantelPs act ing. There is action to spare in the play and it unquestionably pleased the large audience. Mr. Mantell gave an excellent example of reserved and thoughtful acting. Miss Marie Booth Russell was charming." N. Y. Her ald. "He was the same Mantell, erect handsome, mellow of voice and skilled with the foils and in his offering, 'The Light of Other Days,' there was a sword conflict that was a 'thriller.' The play has enough comedy to relieve the strain of pathos and dramatic intensity. The supporting company is capable. Miss Marie Booth Russell, in a dual role, that of mother and dausbter, beintr especially convincing." X. Y. "World. At the Gennett theater Saturday, matinee and night. Manager J. ,11. Barnes' "Dainty Paree Burlesquers" are announced for the Phillips opera house Monday, March 2Sth. They give a performance of more tha nordinary merit, the specialty bill being perhaps the prime feature. It includes Miss Flossie LaVan and a few songs; Rich and Wilbur, singing, talking and dancing act; sisters "Ward, vocalists; Mr. Sam Green in a feAv stories and parodies, and the favorite Irish comedians, Honan and Kearney; Mr. Thomas Breen, sillyutionist, assisted by Miss Carroll and Master Johnnie Breen in an uproarious comedy act. The pretty girl chorus is also a feature, appearing to advantage in merry skits, "A Night in the Hotel "Waldrough" and "The Wronr Mr. Corbet t." " J. C. Wakley, Milwaukee "My wife was sick many years. Nothing done her any good till she used Hollister's Rocky Mountain Tea. Now she's strong and well. 35 cents. A. G. Luken & Co. End of Bitter Fight. "Two physicians had a long and stubborn ght with a abcess on my right lung," writes J. F. Hughes, of DuPont, Ga., "and gave me up. Everybody thought my time had come. As a last resort I tried Dr. King's New Discovery for Consumption. The benefit I received was striking and I was on my feet' in a few days. Now I've entirely regained yhealth." It conquers all Coughs, Colds and Throat and Lung troubles. Quaranteed by A. G. Lpken and Co.'s drug store. Price 50c and $1.00. Trial bottles free. O. Cr.
