at this time of year, when the system is suffering from those humors that always accumulate in the blood during the winter. , . Everybody that is bilious or constipated needs Heod's Pills, also. "I have taken Hood's Sarsaparilla and I recommend it to anyone needing a good blood medicine. It purifies the blood, tones the nerves and strengthens and invigorates all parts of the body." W. W. Stogner, Ferris, Texas. "We have used Hood's Sarsaparilla and have found it an excellent tonic in the spring or when the system is run down or the blood impure." Mks. Jcxia T. Beverly, Hazen, Ark. "I have taken Hood's Sarsaparilla in the spring as a blood purifier and the results have always been satisfactory. I live in a malarial district, and I regard Hood's Sarsaparilla as a life preserver." Geo. W. Harlow, E. F. D. 3, Seymour, Ind. Accept no Substitutes for Hood's Sarsaparilla and Pills. Politicians Opening Their Eyes at
Growth of Hearst Movement. Indianapolis. March 19. There is no
longer any doubt but that Wm. Ran
dolph Hearst intends to turn his bat
teries loose upon Indiana for the pur
pose of capturing the delegation to
the Democratic national convention at St. Louis. Politicians who sneered at his candidacy a few months ago are beginning to open their eyes to its rapid growth. Hearst's barrel for it is not disputed that the barrel is a very big item in his campaign is doing a fine stunt and politicians are now wondering if it will hold long enough for him to land the nomination. His mtheods are unique in politics, but he has probably been laying a foundation for a long time for the very thing he is now doing, for the national association of Democratic clubs which held its convention here four years ago was his creation and it seems to have given him an entering wedge into politics. His election to congress was another step and now his agents are here preparing to put on the gloves with Tom Taggart and the regular organization for the Indiana delegation.
While all the talk of a fight between Hearst and Taggart's followers for control of the Indiana delegation is going on the genial Tom is quietly ensconsed at his hotel at French Lick. He is not paying any attention, so far as the public knows, to what is being said, but the chances are that he has his ear to the ground and is fully
nnrispd of what is Koins? on. There
is no question but that Hearst is not the personal choice of Taggart but
if Hearst gets the nomination there
is not much doubt that he will sup
port him as he has always shown
himself to be a trood party man. lag
gart, It is understood, intends to remain at French Lick until Monday or
Tuesday of next week. John W. Kern,
who has been regarded as one of the
biz men of the party who might con
sider Hearst favorably, is also at French Lick and it is . probable that the two chieftains are now laying some mines that will be touched off later in the campaign.

John C. Eastman of Chicago, who
is the personal representative oil Hearst in his dealings with the politicians of this part of the country,
was formerly an Indiana man. lie published a Democratic paper at Wabash for some time before he entered the field of metropolitan journalism. He had been one of the leading figures in the Hearst syndicate for several years and is now one of the most prominent newspaper managers in the country. He formerly took part in state and county politics in Indiana but he is now getting his first introduction to national politics. He says he is very confident that Hearst will receive the nomination but like other managers of the boom he has not been able to make public a list of prominent Hoosiers who are lined up with it. The plea of Eastman and his associates is that the masses are with Hearst and that they will rise up and nominate him.
