GOOD NEWS. Many Richmond Readers Have Heard It and Profited Thereby. "Good News travels fast" and the thousands of bad back sufferers in Richmond are glad to learn that prompt relief is within their reach. Many a lame, weak and aching back is bad no more, thanks to Doan's Kidney Pills. Our citizens are telling the good news of their experience with the Old Quaker Remedy. Here is an example worth reading: Mr. John W. Turner, 215 south fifth street, says: "I usually lie on my, back while sleeping, and in the morning when first getting up the pains were so severe and my back so lame I could scarcely move. The kidney secretions were irregular and often distressing. I was in bad shape when I happened to hear about Doan's Kidney Pills and got them at A. G. Luken's drug store. I was relieved of the pain and soreness after a few doses and the secretions wen regular and natural." For sale by all dealers. Price 50c. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo, N. Y., sole agents for the United States. Remember the name Doan's and take no other. Pensylvania Lines TIME TABLE CINCINNATI AND CHICAGO DIV. In Effect 2 p.m., Feb 16, 1904.

BLOWN TO ATOMS
Terrible Effect of Nitroglycerine Explosion at Knlglitstown. ONE MAN WAS KILLED Driver of Wagon Was Literally Blown to Atoms and His Body Scattered to the Winds. Fore of Concussion Ground the Bricks in the Factory Into Bust. Knightstown, Ind., March 14. More than 500 quarts of nitroglycerin exploded at the big magazine a mile and a half northwest of this city and Stephen A. Clark, who' was working there, his team of horses and wagon, and the magazine and factory were blown to atoms. The force of the explosion was felt all over this city, windows being shattered all over town. The force of the concussion was so great as to grind the brick in the magazine to dust. The tops were torn off trees that stood near, and some of them were laid bare to the trunks. Strung about among the barren limbs, here and there, were to be seen particles of clothing and flesh and small pieces of debris, caught in their flight a grewsome spectacle. Particles of flesh and pieces of debris were found at the top of the hill, and much of it southward in an adjoining field, some as far away from the magazine as half a mile. M'DONALD INDICTED Lawrence County Grand Jury Finishes in Schafer Case. Bedford, Ind., March 14. The Lawrence county grand jury voted to indict James McDonald, confined in the Bloomington jail as the murderer of Catherine Schafer. The indictment will be returned in court this afternoon. Prosecutor Miller prepared the document, which embraces three counts. The first will charge McDonald killed Miss Schafer with a brick, the second a wrench and the third with some weapon unknown to the jury. When the indictment is formally presented in court Judge Wilson will order McDonald arraigned. His counsel, Palmer and Vance, will enter a plea of not guilty and supplement the plea with a motion for an immediate trial, also another motion that their client be transferred from the Bloomington to the Bedford jail that they may have frequent access to the prisoner's presence. McDonald will be arraigned Tuesday morning and his trial probably will be set for the first week of the May term as the docket at present is so crowded as to preclude a trial at this term. Murdered His Brother. Indianapolis, March 14. Enraged by the repeated taunts of his brother, Otis Hubbard, and fearing that he was about to make good his threat to attack him, Cyrus Hubbard struck his brother in the head with a billiard cue in Moriarty's saloon, inflicting injuries which resulted in the death of Otis Hubbard some hours later. Several times preceding the fight in which the fatal blow was struck Otis had threatened his brother because he had refused to buy him a drink. With ueorge Carson, who, the police allege, encouraged Otis in his attacks upon his brother, Cyrus Hubbard was arrested and is charged with murder and Carson is slated for being an accessory to murder. Bystander Was Wounded. Evansville, Ind., March 14. Three men, believed to be the robbers of the Howell postofflce, were located In a local hotel but they scented the approach of detectives and left the place just as the officers entered. When followed the strangers turned on the officers and a pistol duel ensued in the street. A barber in a near-by shop was wounded. The strangers escaped amid great excitement on the part of people In the vicinity. Accusers Sued for Libel. New Albany, Ind., March 14. Samuel N. Boyles and his wiie have been sued by Miss Goldie E. Simpson for 5,000 damages for libel. Her mother also filed a damage suit for $2,000 for damages she claims resulted from the nervous shock she sustained when the Boyles accused her daughter of stealing $500. The people are all prominent and wealthy. Police are Puzzled. Lawrenceburg, Ind., March 14. The residence of B. Heinz, a dairyman, was burglarized. Watches and other valuables aggregating $100 were stolen. Nearly $2,000 worth of property has been stolen in this city by burglars this winter and the police have thus far been unable to secure the slightest clue to the identity of the thieves. Infanticide at Lafayette. Lafayette, Ind., March 14. Mystery envelops the discovery cf the body of a male Infant In a ditch near the fair grounds. The coroner and police are investigating the case.
