The Entire Stock off J. M.
Williams to be Offered at Fire Sale---Full Particulars. The Fire Sale of th stock of the J. M. Williams Shoe Store is of more than usual importance in this community sires it is an opportunity to lay in a supply of that most necessary article of dres3 foot
wear of a quality and at a price very seldom attainable. Everybodv knows the quality of goods handled there only the best in any class. The name of the concern is always associated with the better class of goods. The recent fire there has pi t this elegant stock in the reach of all, and those who are wise will take advantage of it. The standard makes of footwear were all represented in this immense stock, which was bought for fiae trade. The fire, and the adjustment of the fire losses, makes it imperative that this stock bj sold off at once, to get ready for spring trade. The goods to be offered includes
the entire stock, which for wearing
qualities was practically uninjured. All of it will be sold. As a general
thing the damage is to the boxes in
which the goods were kept, and these are mainly injured only by being smoked up. The goods themselves sra as good as they ever were. Where they have been damaged at all, the purchaser will be told plainly and truthfully what the damage is and what it amounts to, because everv person in the concern is an experienced shoe salesman, and as they will x-ontinue in the business they can afford to drceive no one. The sale opens Friday morning at 5 'M. The store will close at noon for an hour and then reopen until 6 o'clock. On the usual nights Tuesday. Thursday . and Friday the store will be closed, during the sale. On the other nights the store will be open until 9 oclock. The reduction in price will be general all through the stock, and such goods were never offered at such prices in Richmrnd before. People know the kind of goods they have always sold there this identical line is offered. You can wear the finest of goods at the lowest of prices by taking advantage of this sale. All sales will of course be for cash only and no goods can be taken back except on exchange. - On account of the rush it will be impossibleand no one should expect it to make any exchanges during this sale. All goods taken out, however, will be exchanged as soon as there is time to do it if the purchaser desires. As soon as the rush is over a matter of a few days, perhaps a week goods, bought can be exchanged; but no goods can be taken out on approval, and no exchange can be made for a few days at least. The rule therefore will be to come knowing as near as possible what you want in style, size, etc. It will be in the stock and sold at a price to surprise you. In fact this sale is not to take advantage of any one, or to fool any one. The stock is the stock of the stcre, and very large. An unfortunate circumstance has made it necessary to sell it off, and sell it as quickly as possible. Every possible attempt will be made to treat customers the same as they have always been treated in the general order of business at this, one of the oldest shoe houses in eastern Indiana.
