Coffee roasting and coffee blending bas got to be quite an art. - We will not tell you our coffees are the best. Everybody lays claim to that distinction, and everybody cannot 1 right. - Ail we ask is a trial, and if your purchase proves satisfactory, we feel sure that your relations will be lasting ; if not, all the argument in the world would not prevail. Ml'RDEKOCS CONSP1UACY la Cnarsect Aicunst Tweutj-Two Alabama Neeroet. Andalusia, Ala., Dec. 6. Sheriff Bradshaw has returned to Andalusia with 22 negroes who are accused of complicity in the killing of J. W. Dorsey. a merchant, and the fatal wounding o "ate Atkins, city marshal at Opp, ...idnesday evening. The negroes brought in were chased with bloodhounds and captured by the sheriff and his posse. There is great excitement here and there are fears that the friends of the dead white men will attempt a wholesale lynching. The sheriff landed the negroes safely in jail here and has taken precautions to resist the mob in case oaa 'a frrned. J. W. Dorsey and Marshal Fate . tkins went to the turpentine quarters near Opp Wednesday to arrest a negro who was accused of" stealing a pistol from a white man. The negro was barricaded in his cabin and fired on the men as they approached. It developed that the negro had about 50 of his lellow-workmen in the house

with him. A general battle ensued in which Dorsey was killed and Atkins fatally wounded. A white man named Fitzsimmons who was with them was shot twice in the leg. Two negroes were killed and several others wounded. The names of these are at present unknown. The attempt to capture the negroes at that time was given up and Sheriff Bradshaw was sent for. He left. Andalusia at "once for Opp with deputies and dogs and has returned with 22 negroes. J. W. Dorsey was one of the most prominent citizens of Opp. being a merchant, a member of the council, and treasurer cf the tovsn.
