O'iver Harlan Lon was born in Bethel, Ind., July 15th, 1683," and departed this life September 17ih. 1901, aeed 13 years, 2 months and 2 days. He has left to mourn his ul timely death parents, Kracdparents and other relatives and a vast concourse of friends. He was buried in baptism into Christ, February 22, 1S98. He graduated from the c mmon school at He'hel in 1S97, and fr:.m the hiah school at Whitewater, 1900. In his school life he was a ways studious and diligent and by his kind disposition endeared himself to his teachers and schoolmates. His life was short but he accomplished a great good and while we would desire that Goi had permitted him to live with us longer, yet we know the world has been made better by Lis

having lived. de was well educated and had th energy to push forward and do wht he underto k, aid hi uiief life is an inspiration to his 3-oui acquaintances. The world needs such young men as he was, but we reali2e that he who is best prepared to live is best prepared to die. Ollie was a noble Christian young man and had the strength of character to ride above the temptations and vices of this life. He held the love and esteem of his employers and at the time of his death was about to be pro

moted to a position of responsibility '

for one so young, and while his family are heartbroken at his sudden departure yet they may justly frel proud of the grand example of his pure life. Only be true ana loyal to the sweet influt nee of his pure Christian life and noble character of young manhood. May God help us to live it. Just as he was entering the years of accountability and responsibilities of a busy world ihat was opening before him and the care cf o le or whom to honor was his chief delight he passed away from joung man hood to immortal argelho d. When he first tame to Ricbmord he was loyal from hrst to last. He hd not been with us long until we Uarned to love Lim. Kind, gentle, loving was his disposition, firm, true to tte faith and hope that was planted in his bosom at old Bethel. A willing mind a ready heart for any and all kinds of work. Our S S looses a faithful and consecrated teacher. He labored earnestly in leading youcg men to their Savior. This young man was a gift of cheer and loveliness to his home, his church and the world with whom he came in contact. This mother's love has learned the noblest lesson taught by the Savior sacrifice.
