DUBLIN. . Thornburg preached his first sermon at the Radical U. B. church Sunday a. tn. Walter Knipe of "Wichita, Kansas, is here visiting parents, old home and friends. Miss Hazel McGath has been wrestling with a case of malarial fever for a week or more. Solomon Cripe who has been visiting his children ia Chicago all sum mer came here a week or so ago to his old home. Rev. Hobson preached his first sermon in the Liberal U. B. church Sunday for this year. Dr. S:n.th. an old physician from Metam r, lud , has moved here and has taken charge of the drug store recently, of James Hatfield, and will att nd to it in connection with his practice. Nearly or quite ali the empty houses in Dublin are now occupied. Marshal, son of Mr. and .'rs. Casper Green, took sick Saturday morning and died in the evening. He was their only chiid. He was 17 years of age and had not been in good health for same time. Mr. Jones and family from Ridge farm, Illinois, was here all last week on a visit to Charley King and family, being a brother-in-law. Mr. Jones is a large farmer in Vermillion county, 111. His brother-in-law, Mr. King, spent the week in taking him about over the country letting him see some of our fine Indiana laud aud farms, our good grayel roads, a thing they never enjoy in the portion of Illinois in which Mr. Jones lives. Mr. King and Mr. Jones attended the state fair on Thursday which within itself was a big thing. Dr. Champe of Dublin received the sad news of his brother, Lafayette Champe's death, at Garnett, Kan,, the first of last week. He was the last living member of the family save that of Dr. Champe, living here. It was sad news to his brother here. Appropriate services were held hre on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon of last week over the funeral of the President.
(The reason services were held in the
M. t, church Wtonesday was from the fact that Rev. Pierce cou'd not be here on Wednesday, as be was to attend the reunion of his regiment, the 84th Iddiana. which met at Winchester ou Thursday. Kirkpatrick and his gang of hands resumed work again on Saturday last, in the laying cf our pavements. The work no doubt will now be pushed to a finish, as the contractors have other jobs awaiting them. The' are doing some fine work, from the appearance of the pavements when perfectly dry. Much work is yet to do in finishing the grade outside of the pavements by the citizens, but when all is finished our streets will couupete in appearance with the best.

Summer Complaint Is not always brought about by change of air and water. The "'stay-at-homfs" are just as susceptible to diarrhoea; due, generally, to overeating, as unripe fruits, etc. ; and, drinking ice water, all accompanied by painful bowel discharges; and, if not checked, results seriously. Perry Davis' Pain Killer is the only purely reliable remedy. 25 and 50c.

Lard, Toledo, O., Sept. 25, Wheat, A YO U N G LADY'S I.IFK SAVED At I'aiinma, Columbia, by CbauiberlaifiV Colic, Cliolera and Diarrlioea ltemedy. Dr. Chas. If. Utter, a prominent pbysiciai., of Panama, Columbia, in a recent letter states: "Last Mach I had as a patient a young lady sixteen years of age. who had a yery bad attack of dysentery. Everything I prescribed for her proved ineffectual and she was growing wors? every hour. Her parents were sure she would die. She had become so weak that she could not turn over in bed. What to do at this critical moment was a tudy for me, but I thought of Chamberlain's Coli Cholera aDd Diarrhoea R medy ard as a last resort prescribed it. " The most wonderful result was erfccied. Within eight hours she was feeling much better; iDside of three davs she was upon her feet ard at itie end of one week was entirely well." For sa!e bv A. G. Luken 3cCo. and W. H. Sudhoff.
