LOCAL NEWS.

The Aurora club will meet at Her man Tinz's Thursday night. The Luther League of St. Paul's Lutheran church will hold its regular monthly business meeting this evening at the church. Grace M. E. church will have their quarterly meeting next Sunday. On

Thursday evening Dr. Mahin will preach preparatory to this sorvice. There will be a cottage prayer meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Overman, 222 north seventeenth street, Wednesday evening. QThe gas case will be decided in part next week, when J ad ere Rabb renders his decision as to whether the alternative writ of mandate against the company shall stand. The Second English Lutheran church is undergoing some needed improvements in the way of papering and painting, and there will be no special services this week on this account. Thursday evening after the regular prayer meeting at St. Paul's Lutheran church, a special meeting of the teachers' association will be held for the purpose of discussing the best methods of carrying on the work.
