And His Injuries The Falling of the Flag Pole at Cam d Cuba Libre. Iniilanasoli Sournal Sergeant Major Starr of the 161st Indiana regiment, now in camp at Jacksonville, writes to friends in this city of the aeeident which befell him last Sunday morning during a trrifie windstorm. lie says: "The officers' tents were the first to crush under t'ae fearful gusts of rain and wiud. I never was in a hurrieate, but I think this approached it nenrer than anything eould. The colom i's tent eame down in turn and
(when I went out to assist in helping hiui fix "t I found him hanging for dear
life to tha guy ropes. The flag pole I stood about forty feet from his tent ! and it was swinging to and fro like a j piece of ratb.r. We had j ut driven a te.t pin in front and I was
beciing over to fasten the rop : ihe colonel was standing within a f o t of me on one side ar.d s weral otht r officers and men on the other. Theresas a terrific erash and I fell stunned to the ground. As I rolled over I heard some one say: 'Where did tleflig pole hit hin.T I did not lose consciousness, but when I tried to get up was unable to move. My whole right side seemed paralysed Tnere is nothing serious about, but simply a ma'tt-r of time to recover from my b.uised condition. I am practically helpless on my right side at present witii the exception of my right leg, which was 6prained, but am now beginning to bear a little weight on it. The piece in falling only missed Colonel Durbin's head about a .foot, and the others by about the same space, and lucky for them it was me, for none of the rest were in a favorable position to receive such a blow. I am doing nicely, and expect to be able to walk around in a day or so. I have been in the hospital three days, and am receiving the best kind of ca:e and treatment."

Dr. H&ldeman's Route to be Inspected by the Da j ton Peop'e. The route for the electric road, as proposed by Dr. Haldeman of Cedar Springs, is to be inspected by the promotors of the road, and perhaps at the same time by the local committee, appointed by the mayor for the purpose. The indication at present appear much more favorable for that line, and the people of New Paris and vieinity appear to think they have practically gotten what they wanted. Dr. Lowes is to be at that place to look over the ground, tomorrow or next dy, perhaps, ad within a week or
more it will be known which route i? to be used. It is known that if the company geU to come into the city throsgh Glen Miller and along north A street that privilege would be gladly accepted in lieu of a big bonus. This is a hint worth considering by council and all the citizens.
Stood Daaib Off. E. B. Munday a leading attorney of Henrietta, Texas, tell how he once fooled a grave digger. He says: "My brother was very low with malarial fever nd jauniiee. I persuaded him t try Electrie Bitters and he was soon mu.h better. He quit usicg it too early and had a relapse ; again took the bitters until he was wholly cured. 1 am sure Electric Bitters saved his life." This remedy expels malaria, kills disease germs and purifies the b'ood; aids digestion, regulates liver, kidneys and bowels, cures constipation, dyspepsia, nervous diseases, kid ney troubles, female complaints; gives perfect health.
