Two horses hitched to a large wagon, belonging to Henry Miller east of the city, ran away this morning in the alley north of Main between ninth and tenth streest. The animals were bruised np considerably and were taken to Decker's barn where they were given attention. The Sponger. Last Saturday a post mortem was held on the remains of Mi's Ett Binkley at Dublin by Coroner Ziui mermau and Dr. Bulla, at the instance and the assistance of the state's attor ney and the coroner of Peoria, Illinois, to exemplify a statement made by Miss Binkley prior to her death in a hospital in that city. As a resu't four persons are under ban in that city Fred Patee. for whom tho deal girl worked, and who has acknowledged to being an accessory, Dr. Belle Howard, who has fled the state. Dr. O. B. Hill, a member of the hospital staff and a prominent physician, and Miss Coolidge, matron of the, hospital. Patte acknowledged his complicity in the affair when he voluntarily tendered Mrs. Demree $2,500 to maintain si lence, and it is presumed that he also saw the other parties in the same wiy Mrs. Demree accepted the tender and then turned the whole affair over to the state's attorney to prosecute the villain to the bitter end. Murder mot foul and damnable has been committed, and there can be no question that the guilty parties will be made to pay the penalty of law. ' Announctmant. As there are still many voters whom I shall not be able to see between the present time and the day of election I take this means of asking their support. 'Benjamin- F. Harris. Suryeving This Way. The Dayton and Eaton electric rail road is fast rearing completion, and it is now expected that by next July everytnmg will be in good running order. The road is completed as far as West Alexandria, and. the work is now being pushed from Eaton to that point. There is still considerable talk of extending the road to this eity, and it is said that already the road is quietly being surveyed between this city and Eaton and the plans drawn up for the extension.
