Found bis Harse. D. W, Lawrence, who resides near Lynn rode to the oity yesterday, and hitched his horse on North O. street near Dueker's grocery. Towards night the horse feeling the gnawings ot bun ger broke the bridle reins by whioh it was fastened to teed from a load of straw standing in front ot Mr. Dueker a barn Mr. Lawrence returned about 6 o'eloek and found hi equine gone, and suppos ing it had been stolen reported the faot at police headquarters, sergeant Kubl man and a detachment ot policemen at onse commenced a search for it. The sergeant went to Deuker's grocery to mske inaiiry and ascertained that the horse had been placed in his barn for safe keeping. Mr. Lawrenoe felt greatly relieved, and wished to pay the sergeant tnd Mr. D. for their trouble, but they declined: but they did advise him to put his horse in a livery stable and have it well cared for on his next visit to the oity. Adam Rhinebamer returned from Indianapolis last evening where he went to see his son Will, who has been convicted of passing counterfeit money, but who has not been sentenoed, and will not be until next week. Mr. Bhme hamer aays the idea prevails in court circles that Will is cognisant of fscts that would oonviot others who are engaged in pasting spurious money, and he haa been importuned to testify, but he assured bi father that he did not know ot anything that would conviot anybody. Ills father urged him not to shield any guilty person. and he repeated to him that he knew ol nothing that would convict any one, and he didn't propose to cause innocent parties to ufier.
