The aubfeot ia being talked over by oertain members ot the Senate fadioiary eommittee, and the outooma may be a bill to reorganize the Supreme Coart and make the additiona mentioned. The enlargement ot the oourt it held to be neoeaaary beeauae of the rapid inoreaae in the buaiaesa from the State courts. She had lived under the administration ot every President of the United States. She was nearly six years old when George Washington took the oath of office. Hundreds of the useful inventions were unknown in the earlier period ot her life. The country has grown from a population that ooold be entertained nicely in the city ot New York to a mighty nation, sixty million strong. The funeral was held at the M. E ohuroh Sunday afternoon. The church did not near oontain the people. Mrs. Ann Gauze conducted the service, assisted by Elder Hall. The hymns sung were very appropriate tor the occasion. Atter the aervioea the remains were taxen to Aaat uermantown. where further aeryioe was conducted by the Lutheran paator in the preaenoe ot a large assemblage, and the interment made in the Lutheran cemetery. The qiestion will come to many, what ia tha cause of her livin ta mV, . age. One reason, probably, is that her lamuywere a long-irvea race, another the quietneea and meekness which eharaoterued her lite. Excitement and worry were traits almost unknown to nor. There are more newspapers published in Pennsylvania than ia all Britiah America. Thomas Nelson Page, the Southern dialect writer, is first cousin of Amelia Rivee.
