Maas con vent inn* were held in tho aer* oral townships of Jasper county, last Saturday, by the republicans, to appoint delegates to the county convention which will assemble at the court house in Rensselaer i,n Saturday, August 3d, 1878, to nrminate a coun'y ticket.
