On petition of James F. Irwin et al. for a bridge across Carpenter creek Hon. W. B. Price was appointed agent of the board to investigate the necessity, and ordered to report at the Jane session. On petition of Nelson Everson the tax •u a orphan dog without parents or guardian was rvmittwd. On. petition of E. C. W. Morris, of Milroy township, assessment on personal property to amount of SSO for taxes of 1877 adeased T '- ~ r ... .. ’ r ' ■ On petition, of James A. Yeoman assessment on personal property to amount pf Sl<iß for taxes of 1877 released. On petition of Ralph Fendig assessment on personal properly to amount of $2,000 for taxes of 1877 released. Parley Finney was allewed $8 per month for the support of Ms Invalid daughter, Ella P. Finney, adjudged non compos mentis. On petition of G. A. Moss et al. for an appropriation to aid in the construction of the 1., D. & C. ft. R. it was ordered that a warrant bo drawn in favor of said R. R. Co. for the amouAof $2,000. Ordered that the buildings on the poor farm be insured against loss or damage by lire in the Home Insurance Co. of New York of which D. B. Miller, Esq., is the local agent, for the amount of S6OO for on* year, ending April 12. 1879. 'JJ Board proceeded to county farm and defl dwelling house for use es the lessee and inmate*, also divided |Jie form on the east line of said farm between Peter Hordeman •nd the county. Adopted plans and specifications of dwaling bouse on poor form and ordered the usual advertisement for bids to be inserted in Rkkimki.am Union and Democratic Senlinel, bids to be opened June stb, at 2 o’clock p. m., the same being the third day of the term. In the matter of the petition of Alfred Thompson et al. for a bridge across the Pinkamiok river between Marion and Barkley townships Addison Parkison having al the last sassko of the board been
appointed agent to investigate, etc., now sl< I Ms report and recommendation, which report ia now adopted and plans and speei* Heal lons having been submitted to the board the same are approved, and the board thereupon entered into a contract with J. P. Dunlap for the erection of said bridge at a cost of $476, said bridge to be twin pitted by the 2d day of September. 1878. Hon. W. K. Parkison wae appointed agent of the board to superintend the construction of raid bridge. Hon. John Van't Wood was appointed agent of the board to have supports placed under the bridge across the Iroquois river at Rensselaer, and to superintend the construction of a sidewalk in front of, and inside the court house square, the contract for the construotjon of wbioh was given to Oliver I*. Robiuson, the sidewalk in front of the square to be sis feet wide aud to, cost 33 cents per lineal foot, the walk inside the square to be eight feet wide nni to cost 48 cents per lineal foot. Hen. John Van't Wood was appointed ■agent of the board to enter into n contract with Thomas Antrim, M. D., for medical services and medicines for poor of Keener and Wheatfield townships at a compensation not to exceed SBO psr annum. Yeoman, as attorney for Washington Sc.4l, trustee of Milroy township, filed an affidavit wherein it is alleged that the voucheis for the expenditures incurred by said Washington Scott, as such trustee, since his last aettlctnent with the county, have been placed in his possession by said trustee and placed in bis iron safe, but wore now missing. It was therefbre ordered tTial settlement of said trustee with (he board be postponed until their June session. James F.
