Marion Township Republican Convention.

Pursuant to notice n-conrention of republican voters of Marion township ' met in Starr’s Hall at 2 o’clock P. M. yesterday. Simon P. Thompson was called to the chair and Nathaniel W. Reeve sleeted secretary. On motion prooeeded to nominate a township ti cket by ballot, which resulted as follows: Trustee—William 8. Coen. Assessor— Richard 11. Purcupile. Justices of the peeace—Darid James and John Van’t Woud. Constables—William Warren, Erostus Peacock and Charles Harding. Seventy-five voters participated in the proceedings, and all of the candidates rxeepr the assessor were nominated on the first ballot. For a township convention it was a large attendance, each school district and district of the town was represented. The proceedings were harmonious throughout, ond at the close of the meeting a res-station-to elect each and all of the gentlemen placed in nomination was adopted unanimously and with enthusiasm. The nominees are all good men, capable, and competent to fill acceptably the positions to which they have been nominated, and to which they are morally certain to be elected by handsome majorities next Monday.
