One Price Only; and Everybody Served Alike.
| Our Motto: “Pair aud Square Dealing.” I In an advertisement published in The Union last week, Mr. Leopold says he will rurt somebody out of i business. Of course he was understood to mean the NARROW GAUGE ONE PRICE CLOTHING STORE! i My dear sir, running out of business don't go so fast as (you seem to think. Tbs United Stales is n free country, where people may engage in nnv honorable employment wharaver they may choose to go. This government, mind you, Mr. Leopold, does not exist solely fbr the benefit of suoh elfish men ns yonrrelf, but protect* every inhabitant of the country in his rights. Of doursp it is quite likely that you would bo glad to see us leave town, for we are selling goods as low as they can be afforded io give me and all ONE HUNDRED CENTS FULL VALUE FOR EACH DOLLAR ispcnt'with us for goods. You have had the thing your own way—almost I >1 monopoly of the clothing trade-in Ucnfselaer long enough. ‘ Since we ■ t ame here you have marked down to $3.50 garments for which your price | had been ; this, Old Sinner, shows plainly that you had been in the i habit oinking advantage of your customers to charge them $4.50 on a single iirticlo for tlm privilege of dealing with you! It is an old saying! Iljhrtt burnt children keep away from the fire. Wo do business a difl'erentj . ' wav from our competitor. “One and nil treated alike, and fair and square I dealing,’’ is our motto. A child can buy goods of us just as cheap as cheap as persons well posted in their value. All we ask is a fair trial. ITanow O-SaVLg'e M Jritt (Jlotlnng Son. !! ■ 1 ■ ■■■ ■ f Our Motta: “Fair and Square Dealing.”
I Hy Competition! Wipe Oini Out. . * ■ - . ' ' , ■. ■ • ' ' '/ ", As competition is the life of trade, and those have recently come to Rensselaer who boast they will “wipe out Leopold,” nothing suits me better than an opportunity to prove how much easier it is to talk than to perform in the “wipingout” business. In consequence of such threats I have determined to sell out { entire stock of Clothing, just newly House, let it be under whatever style it may assume in its firm name. Being so well known in this county but little need be said of my ability to do what I advertise; but one of the main features of my business is that my entire stock was bought for cash and up to the present time is unencumbered. This is sufficient to guaranty in these hard and trying times an opportunity for all to save many dollars on a suit of Clothing, for no patron of mine shall leave my store without buying, even though goods must be sold for 50 cents on the dollar. I can, shall and will do this as somebody has to be “wiped out’’ of the clothing trade. Now all I ask is a visit, and if you don’t feel inclined to buy of me I will at least be instrumental | in posting people on low prices. My Motto: “Never Be Beaten.” Thankful for favors, I remain, As ever, Yours, A. LEOPOLD.
