After the lSlH’day of December, 1877, the Auditor is required by law to advertise real estate for all unpaid taxes for 1876, and former years, to which will be added the taxes of 1877, which sale shall occur on tho 2d Monday in February, 1878, unless paid before that time. ’ ' Each tax-paye# may pay the full amount of his taxes on or before the 3rd Monday in April, 1878, or may at his option pay onehulf thereof, with the whole of his road tax, on or before the said Brd Monday in April, and tho remaining one-half on or before the Ist Monday of November following, hut upon foilnre to pay the first one-half by Baid 3rd Monday in April, then the whole tax becomes delinquent, and the penalty will be added and collected as heretofore. Tax-payers will find it greatly to their advantage not to put off tax-paying until the last two or three dnysof time, as on failure to make payment of taxes due by the 3id Monday in April the penalties will be added immediately. Bring your road receipts when you pay your first installment of taxes. Tax-payers should examine their receipts and see that they are correct before leaving the office. Those who have lands or other property in more-than one township or town must see that they have a separate recoipt for each township or town.
