' ” All taxes renmining unpaid on the third Monday in April, 1878, beoomo dclinquent and a penalty of ton percent, will be added, and tho Treasurer is required by law after that dato to proceed to colloct said delinquent taxes by distress and sale of property if necessary. * After the 15th day of December, 1878, the Auditor is required by law to Advertise real estate for all unpaid taxes for 1877, and former years, to which will be added the taxes of 1878, which snle shall occur en the 2d Monday in February, 1879, unless paid before that time. Each tax-payer may pay the full amount of his taxes, on or before the 3rd Monday in April, 1878, or may at hi* option pay one* half thereof, with the whole of his road tax, on or before »he said 3rd Monday in April, and the remaining one-half on or before the lst‘4londay of November following, hut upon failure to pay the first one-half by said 3rd Monday in April, then the whole tax becomes delinquent, and the penalty will be added and collected as heretofore. Tax payers will find it greatly to their advantage not to pnt off lax-paying until the last two or three days of time, as on failure tojmnke payment of taxes due by the 3id Monday in April the penalties will be added immediately. Bring your road receipts when you pay your first installment of taxes. Tax payers should examine their receipts and see that they are oorrect before leaving the office. Those who have lands or other property in more than one township or town must see that they have a separate receipt for each township or town.
