A New Receiptfor Making Republieans.
E. L. Keil has just returned from an extended trip through Tennessee and Alabama. He went down with the intention of purchasing land if the country proved os satisfactory as immigration agents from thtwe parts represented. His opinion on seeing the country did not at all coincide with the reports he had beard. He says the corn on their best lands does not compare with that in LaPorte county. TUnt thu poor whiles are far more lasy and ignorant than the negroes. Care for but little except to chew tobacco and drink whisky. Thinks with a barrel of whisky and fife aad drum, most of them could be mads Republicans.—LaPorte Herald.
