To All Persons Greeting.

R. H. Purcupile does on,his oath solemly say that he will sell to persons wishing cigars, tobacco, confectionery, canned fruit, etc., as cheap as any house in town. Don’t fail to call at the corner room opposite the bank. A man rushed into a Main-street restaurant the other day in an awful hurry, and flopping into a chaiir, called for some “calfs head soup.’' “Calf said whal, sir?” enquired the waiter. “Calfs head soup,” roared the impatient guest. Admonished by the wrathful tone, the waiter moved away, but paused to enquire, as a kind of appendix. “You didn’t hear him say what kind of soup, sir?” ' Green’s Hotel, at Charlestown, was burned Wednesday morning of last week; the flames spread to two adjoining houses, which were also destroyed.
