Lafayette is to have a grand 4th oi July celebration. The Battle Ground camp meeting will begin on Thursday, August 19th. Two farm hands in Rush bounty, named James H. Fiske and Columbus Henry, got into a quarrel over a girl, during which Henry was fatally stabbed by his antagonist. Two colored men at Lawrenceburg, named Mot roe Terrell and Green, quarreled over a barking dog kept by the former, which resulted in Terrell shooting Green with a shot-gun, causing instant death. William Kline, who lives three miles northeast of Jackson Station, Tipton county, shot and killed William Bradley, his brother-in-law. The murder was the result of Kline’s jealousy. He was arrested and bound over to court iq the sum of SSOO.
