State ot Indiana vs. James D. Ruskong, malicious injury to property. Defendant tried by jury and acquitted. State of Indian a vs. George Parkison, assault and battery. Nol grossed. State of Indiana vs. Frederick Geitz, selling iptoxieating liquors in loss quantities than a quart at a Defendant .tr.Led.au one indictment, found guilty and fined £SO and costs. On another similar indictment he plead guilty and was fined 620 and costs. Two other indictmeuts against him were quashed. State of Indiana vs. Frank Hengisbach, giv'ng liquor to a -minor, appeal from justiot’s court. Defendant tried by jury, who, after beiug out all night, failed to agree and the cause was continued. State of Indiana vs. Joseph Bowers, rape. Defendant entered into recognizance in the sum of <I2OO for his appearance at next
term of court. Emma F. Merser vs. Nedard D. Merser, suit for divorce. Court jgranted decree and the plaintifF allowed to assume her maiden name. O. W. John Makeever vs. James C. Fay, «t at. suit on note and mortgate. Defendant took advantage of baby act. Case was tried by jury, who niter being out all night and failing to agree upon verdict, were dismissed and the cause continued. The first gold coin judgment ever taken in Jasper county was rendered in this term of court. Jay H. Adams, Esq., of Lafayette, wan in attendance and N acted as judge pro tern, in a case wherein Hon.
