An explosion occurred on the sth, in the office of Measim. Jewett, white lead manufacturer*, in New York, by which George W. Jewett, the head of the him, and O. D. Jewett, his nephew, were killed, and Joseph A. Dean seriously injured, (hie aeoount states that a misunderstanding existed between O. D. Jewett and his partners, and that he was about to withdraw from the firm.
