Tills body is owned by Mr. A- Leopold, one of the roost enterprising, far seeing and prosperous cltigvns pf ( the town, who has jusf completed the survey and platting of the tract Into blocks, lots, streets «nj flleys. Most of the vacant lots in the original plat of, and older additions to, Hgnsselaer Jiave been held ti*e owners at prices be* ytnul the reach of mechanics and meu wbjosyppiut t*>t»lr families by small jobs and day's labor- Jt Is to afford this das* of people an opportunity to procure homes of theJr own, pud at the seme time to realise a profit for hi/pself, that Mr. Leopold lias placed his property op th* market in its present shape. It will be seen by ye-torri-ug to the advertising columns of this paper that Mr. Thomas boroughs is agent Tor the sale, of JftfS of these lots. We are informed by both Mr. Boroughs and Mr. Leopold that the prices, wlvioh of course are graded u|ion a basis nf location, have been made with a full consideration of the present condition of fluunces and business, and are barely enough to give a reasonable margin over the aotual cost of the tract and. pay expenses of surveying, platting and Incidentals, while the terras are so liberal as to plsce a home within the reach of any industrious man or woman. While it is preferred to sell these lots to those who will build upon and improve them, a portion at least will be disposed of in bulk to persons desiring to make an investment of surplus money where a rear amiable profit may be confidently anticipated. Leopold’s Addition coveni many choice sites for dwellings, «pd at no distant day, will, no doubt, be considered the handsomest portion of Retainer. tyH*
