The Contest Between Rebel Democracy and Republican Principles.

The Rensselaer Union, which has been “acting” with the independents, has come out for the republican ticket. It secs that the independents have hot the ghost of a chance to elect anything or anybody, and as between rebel democracy and republican principles, it much prefers the latter.
