“Snip” wrote from Remington on the 11th that a recent festival given at that town under the management of- the M. E. church brought them ovor sl4 in the popular currency of the nation. Strawberries are abnndant, retailing at 40 cents a gallon. Fourth-of-July people bad their posters printed at Logansport. but expect Jasper county patronage. Knights of Fythias gave a festival in their hall Monday ni previous to the date of the letter. The Disciples (Campbellites) congregation will have a festival one evening next (this) week, “Snip,” and ail other correspondents, or advertisers, will please take notice that communications or orders must bo in this pffice by Tuesday noon to secure publication in the paper issued tho same week.
