Remington Items.
(From Record, of 4th instant.) The mail train has anew passenger coach attached to it. The dancing school is progressing finely with a goodly number of lads and lasses in attendance. A. J. Corkins’ stable was burned down last Saturday night. Supposed to be the work of an incendiary. . Rev. W. B. -Hendryx of this place has a library containing 900 volume which cost him over $1,600. - Mr. Pettitt, formerly of Logansport, is building 1 a room 20x36, south of D. V. Garrison’s harness shop, which will be used as a bakery. This, when completed, will be the eleventh building erected on Ohio street since last May, and one of them a *two-story brick, 80x90 feet. These buildings have cost the sum of $30,000. Now, when you consider the fact that this is only one street in the city, and that improvements have been going on in all parts of town, you’ can readily see that the growth of Remington the past season hasbeen extraordinarily rapid. In addition to these, are the two-story brick business room of Burger & Butler, on North street, and the elegant chnrch erected by the Catholics, on New York street.
