A meeting of theßoard of Directtors of the Chicago & South Atlantic Railway Company was held at Monticello, Indiana, on the sth, to raise means to iron the road-bed, now graded eighty-eight miles, and also to take up maturing obligations. The report shows $860,000 of work done, assets, and only $25,000 of liabdities. The latter is to be wiped out by the first of September. The City Council should passjmme proper ordinance for its admission into the city. If this were done, the work of laying iron would commence immediately.— lnter- Ocean.
