Town Council Proceedings.
The Board of Trustees of the town of Rensselaer met in session Monday night, June 14th, 1875. Present full board, with J. D. Hopkins presiding. Allowed town assessor one week further time in which to complete his assessment roll. The committee appointed to audit account of treasurer and marshal reported the latter entitled to credit of 16 cents overpaid b‘y him; found a balance in the treasury of $86.02, and that ex-treasurer Thos. O. Chesnnt owed the corporation an unpaid balance of $66.21. J. 11. Loughridge, Ira W. Yeomanand J. D. Hopkins were appointed to enquire into the expediency of making a new survey and plat pt the town, together with its additions within the corporate limits.. Ordered the notification of the bondsmen of ex-treasurer Thos. O'. Cbesnut of his deficit. W. W. Reeve filed hitTofficial bond as town marshal in the penal sum of SI,OOO, with Ezra L. Clark and Harvey W. Wood sureties, which was approved. Allowed bill of James & Healey, for printing and advertising, amounting to $9. Adjourned untiLMonday, June 21st, at 7:30 P. Mi, when the board will again convene to receive the assessment roll from the town assessor.
