Malice upon Its Face.

A special dispatch to the Indianai polls Journal, from Laporte, stating that Hon. Jasper Packard had sued the proprietors of this paper for libel, concludes as follows: ’ The suit is brought on an article published in I’he Union of January 7, 1875, charging that Mr. Packard I sold his vote to the Pacific Mail steamship Company. As the editors of the Union had no possible source of obtaining such information,, the article clearly shows* Healies upon* Sts- face. Mr. Phekanl places- at Sib,o6o. He is now in Washington discharging his official duties.
