INDIANA GOSSIP.
Crown Point people consume six tons of ice weekly. Wheat harvesting in Cass county will be nearly ail finished this week. Crown Point will have a SSOO fourth of July celebration next Saturday. Forty or fifty thousand feet of lumber are reported by the Banner as being sold in Francesville every week. It gratifies the pride of the local editor of the Mishawaka Hnterprue to know that his neighbors liberally patronize a free lecture. Mr. George C. Merrifield who wants to go to Congress from this district, occupied the pulpit in the Methodist church at Mishawaka last Sabbath in the absence of the regular pastor. Mr. George Milburn, of Mishawaka, proposes to the citizens of his town to give SIOO,OOO to establish a manufacturing company at that place with a capital of two hundred thousand dollars. Warsaw has a bung factory which makes two hangs a* second with one machine. One end of the stick is make a little smaller by compression and on being dipped into water, vinegar, or other liquid, it immediately swells to Us natural proportions and fills up the bung hole into which it has been driven.
