Bronchitis.

This is an irritation or inflammation of the bronchial tubes which carry the air we breathe into the lungs. It arises from a cold settled in the throat, from Catarrh extending to these parts, from scrofulous affections, and from severe use of the voice. The irritation from this latter cause commences in the larynx and glottis, which are the organs of the voice, and, extending downward, produces hoarseness, coughing and spitting mucous matter, sometimes mixed with blood. It is chiefly dangerous from its tendency to spread into the lungs and terminate in consumption. It is in the cure of severe and obstinate cases of this disease that Dr. Pierce’s Golden Medical Discovery has achieved unparalleled success and won the loudest praise from all who have used it.
