Only Seven Counties in New York for Greeley.

i j. ' - New Yoke has sixty counties. At the late election all but seven gave a majority for the Republican ticket. Those which did not are Columbia, Dutchess, Oreene, Kings, New York, Rockland, and Schoharie. All of tljem, the last excepted, are what are termejd “river counties”— that is, they border on the Hudson. Their Democratic tendency may be accounted for by their contiguity to the central organization of Tammany Hall. Itiscn-i coufagibg. however, to Bce that in all but j two, New York and Klngs, thema}orities | are very htnall, none reaching a thousand j votes.,. We hope ere long to be able to say, with Maine, Massachusetts, and Michigan, “Every countv in the State is j Republican.^ "—Buffalo Erprtss.
