The New Loan.

Washixotov, July 81. Records in the Treasury Department show that up to yesterday 167,000,000 of the new funded loan have been subscribed for. This saves the Government Treasury, in annual interest, 1670,000. Should Mr. Boutwell expend one year’s interest in placing the loan on the market, he will then receive a saving in interest of $670,000 annaully for nine years. Therefore the statement that the Government would sustain a loss by the loan is inconsiderate and erroneous.
