About the 20th of June a large, light bay Alley, 2 years old, crescent or lialf moon shaped sjxit in forehead, dishfaced and had yoke marks on neck close to head. A suitable reward will be paid for return of colt or information leading to her recovery. Wm, A. Abbktt. The Indianapolis Journal says, “Commissioner Drummond has decided that Beaver Lake, in Newton county, was not conveyed to the State by virtue of the Swamp Land Act; and that, therefore, the present settlers on the drained land originally comprised within the limits of that body of water, are trespassers against the General Government.
