Cure for Corns.
The Journal of Chemittry says: “ Soak the feet in worm water, then, with a sharp instrument, pare off aa much pf the corn as can be done without pain, and bind up the part affected with a piece of linen or mqslin thoroughly saturated with ■perin oil, or, what is better, the oil which floats upon the surface of the pickle of herring or mackerel. After three of four days tlie dressing piay be removed, and the remaining dead cuticle removed by scraping, when the new skin will lie found .to be ofa soft and healthy texture, and leMi liable to the formation of a new coni than before. We have the recipe from a source which we cannot well doubt, and publish it for tlie benefit of many suffering n oilers.” The pain occasioned by corns may be greatly alleviated by the following' preparation : Into an odnee phial ask a druggist to put two diams of muriatic acid and six drams of roge water. With this mix Hire wet the corns night and morning for three days. Soak the feet every evening in warm water, without soap. Put onethird of the acid into the water, and, with a little picking, the corn will be dissolved. —Jennie I’iunie.
