Board ordered the amount to be credited to Henkle estate and charged against Hopkins. “Ordered by tho Board of Commissioners, that where tax-payers may desire to pay their taxes, except the railroad tax for 1870, the Treasurer is authorized to give receipts showing suoh payments except as to said railroad tax; and where taxes have been heretofore paid except as to an amount equal to tho railroad tax of 1870, the Treasurer may change the receipts heretofore given by him, so as to show such taxes except said radroad tax have been paid. It is further ordered, that no legal measures be taken to coerce the collection of tho railroad tax for 1870 until tjic further order of the Board. It is further ordered by the Board that at the next distribution of taxes no distribution bo made as to said, railroftd tax, but that such tax thus collected by the Treasurer be reported by him and reserved for further distribution or disposition as the Board may hereafter direct, Provided, that nothing in these orders is intended or designed to releas'eHny taxpayer from the payment of said railroad tax, or to release him from any penalty or interest for whioh ho may bcoomo liable by reason of tho non-payment thoreof.”
