B. Spangle’s tailor shop. The leading members held! a meeting last Saturday evening and filled the executive board and-decided mpon the action abovo indicated. People should not fail to set out fruit trees on their farms. A good orchard looks well, its fruit tastos well and its products pay well. Heretofore people liavo been unconscionably swindled by traveling tree peddlars, but now there is no danger of fraud as wo have right among us thoso who grow them for market. Dr. Win. 11. Martin has issued a circular to which attention is particularly callod. He advertises apple trees, cherry trees, Siberian crab trees, grape vines etc., also evergreens, shrubbery, and plants of different varieties, all thrifty and finely rooted. Ho warrants everything true to name, sells cheaper than peddlars, takes pay in young stock, wood, or country produce, and gives credit on onehalf of all bills amounting to twen-ty-dollars and upward. The finest serge goods for women and a good supply for children. These goods will be offered, at a small profit and one price, at Hopkins’ Corner.

It is further ordered, that no legal measures be taken to coerce the collection of tho railroad tax for 1870 until tjic further order of the Board. It is further ordered by the Board that at the next distribution of taxes no distribution bo made as to said, railroftd tax, but that such tax thus collected by the Treasurer be reported by him and reserved for further distribution or disposition as the Board may hereafter direct, Provided, that nothing in these orders is intended or designed to releas'eHny taxpayer from the payment of said railroad tax, or to release him from any penalty or interest for whioh ho may bcoomo liable by reason of tho non-payment thoreof.”
