Iroquois Library Association.--Meeting of Directors.

At the yegular rr.eeting ol the directors of the Iroquois Library Association, held in tho Court House, Rensselaer, Inti., Monday night, January 2, 1871, Sitnon I*. Thompson, Esq., was chosen temporary chairman, aud 51. L. Spftlcr, temporary secretary. The following persons were elected officers lor the ensuing year:— E. I*. Hammond, President, Tho?. J. Spitlcr, Secretary, I. M. Slackhouse, Treasurer, S. P. Thompson, Librarian. On motion an assessment of one dollar was levied on each member, I to pay the present indebtedness of : the Association, rebind some of the | books and to buy The sccj rotary was instructed td collect the assessment on or be/ore February 1.-t, 1871. On motion, the secretary Was instructed to purchase a suitable book in which to keep the records of, the Association. On motion, of L M. Stackhouse, stock be issued to each member who advanced five dollars iu the organization of the Association and that these shares be made transferable* on the books of the secretary. • S. P. Thompson presented a bill of twenty dollars for advanced to purchase the • American Encyclopedia, which was allowed and the secretary ordered to issue an order in his favor on the Treasurer for the amount.

TJie board of directors unanimously resolved to make no charge for services during the present year. Adjourned to meet in the secretary’s Office on first Monday evening in February, 1871.
