From the minutes of the Carpenpenter township republican convention, held on the 21st instant, wc publish the following extract: Pursuant to call the republicans of Carpenter township met at the School House in. Remington at 1 o’clock, for the purpose of nominating candidates for the several township offices, and the transaction of such other business as. might be deemed advisable. On motion Wm. Irwin was called to the chair and. Geo. W. Hascall elected secretary. The nominations for township officers were as follows: Trustee —James F. Irwin. Justices—James Spencer, Wm. 11. Shaw. Constables—Wm. Haver, Wm. Cooms WM. IRWIN, Gko. W. Hascall, Chairman, Secretary. So far as’wc are acquainted with the nominees, the selections are good and should give satisfaction. Carpenter township will no doubt give the whole republican ticket a larger majority than she ever has done before.
