Those persons who are in favor of said appropriation will deposit a ballot with the words plainly written or printed thereon, “For the Railroad Appropriation, ’’ and those opposed will deposit a ballot inscribed is like manner “Against the Railroad Appropriation,” The Inspectors of the several election precincts will meet at the" Court House in Rensselaer, iu said county, on Thursday, the 21st day of April, 1870, at teu o’clock a. m., U> return the poll books and tally papers of thoir respective precincts and act os a board of Canvassers, to compare •aid papers and certify the result of said election. NOTICE is heteby given that the Auditor and Treasurer of Jasper county, Indiana. will offer at public auction to the highest bidder for cash at the Court House door in Rensselaer, on the 28th day of March, 1870, the following lands (mortgaged to the school fund; for the non-payment of Interest, or so much thereof as may be necessary to pay the principal, interest, penalties and costs, as follows, to-wit: The ue qr of th? ne qr, Section 13, Town 27, Range 7, west, 40 acres Mortgaged to the school fund by Samuel Babb—amount due, $118.93.
