The brokers assembled in the Stock Exchange at 12.30 p. m., and went through an elaborate burlesque ceremonial, which they called the “Unveiling of the Stattoo.” The ceremony took place in the gallery of the Long Boom, and was witsesaed by at least 800 brokers.
