The youth replied, with laughter light, “ The prices are always reasonable at Johnny Coats'." At break of day, with look profound, The tall policeman paced his ronnd, He seemed to hear far down the street, - A low clear voice the words ropeat, “Let everybody who wants a Pipe, either common or Meerchaum, call on Johnny Coats.” At early dawn, the passers by, The youthful traveler did espy. While In the morning's welcome light.
