Rules of the Rensselaer Grailed School.—Adopted by the Board of Trustees, September 27th, 1869.
1. The last bell will ring at 8:30 A. M., and 1:30 P. M , at which time pupils not in their scats will be marked tardy. 2. —No pupil will be allowed to leave school during the day without permission from the Superintendent. The Superintendent shall not give such permission until the applicant shall have made full statement of where and for what purpose he or she is going. 3. —Pupils marked absent or tardywill be required to give written excuse for such absence or tardiness. Pupils receiving three absent or tardy marks without giving excuse will be reported to the Superintendent, who will report to the Boar I of Trustees. 4. —No loud or boisterous talking or laughing and no playing will be permitted in any of the rooms or halls of the school house. 5 —Pupils will not be permitted to visit private houses during school hours. o.—Quarreling, fighting, rough and unbecoming play, and the use of profane or indecent language is prohibited; and pupils will be required to treat the teachers and one another with courtesy and respect. 7. —Pupils must not communicate with each other, during school hours, neither by whispering, writing, sigiis, nor any othermanner. Information concerning lessons must be obtained from the teacher in charge. 8. —No pupil will be permitted to leave his or her desk during school hours without, the consent of the teacher in charge of the room. 9. —Pupils will be held responsible for any damage they may do to the school house or any property belonging theret6. 10—-Each teacher will be required to enforce these rules and regulations in his or her department.
