One of that series that had never been in eirouhUipii wju compared- with the one submitted for examination, and after the most rigid scrutiny but one flaw was discovered by which the counterfeit could be distinguished from the genuine. The only remedy Is to' call in ail the notes of that denomination. Persons suspecting the genuineness of those in their possession will invariably find the scroll work directly over the words “American Bank Note Company, New York,” in Tift# left Asiif corner of the note, distinct and sharply defined iu the genuflie notes, while in the couitteilblt "it Is bhirred and unfinished. This seems the only reliable flaw that has been detected.— Washiiuiton Republican.
