Notice of Election. Indianapolis, Delphi & Chicago R. R. NOTICE is hereby given, That tho polls will be opened on the mb day of July, A. D. 1809, .at the different voting places in tlie several townships* in Jasper county, Indiana, in manner and form prescribed by the general election law; aad each legal voter of said county will then have tlie privilege of voting for or against an appropriation of Forty-two Thousand Dollara, by said county, to aid in the construction of the Indianapolis, Delphi and Chicago Rail Road us prayed tor in a petition signed by more than one hundred resident freeholders of said county and presented at the June Term A. D. 1869 of the Board of Commissioners. Those persons who are in favorof said appropriation will deposit a ballot witli the words plainly written or printed thereon “For the Railroad Appropriation,” and those who are opposed will deposit a ballot inscribed in like manner “Against the Raiit road Appropriation. The inspectors of the several election precincts will meet at the Court House in Rensselaer, in said county, onthe22dday of July. 1869, nt 10 o’clock A. M. to return the poll books and tally sheets of their respective precincts, and act as a Board of Canvassers to compare said papers and certify the result of said election. By order of the Board.
