We have room to give buta condensed synopsis of the proceedings. Organized Board of Equalization of ItealEstate Apprisement. consisting of I. W. Yeoman, Auditor,G. H. Brown, C. M. Watson, Jared Benjamin, Cominissioners, Wm. Bhortrldgc, Appraiser, and R. Benjamin, Thos. Lainborn, B. Harrington and Jesse Wilcox, Deputy Appraisers. The appraisement was increased In Gillam, ttf per cent., Walker 10 per cent., Newton 12 per cent., Wheatfield 11 per cent., lots in Ilensselaer 8 per cent, end improvements in Rensselaer 21 per cent. Increased Individual property In different localities from b 0 cents to 10 dol-'orden-d f an election to bo held at Remington, on the 26th of June, to determine by ballot whether the town of Remington be incorporate. Received petition of Alfred Thompson J. A. Stephan, and 250 others asking an appropriation of $42,000, to aid >4n the construction of the I. D. & C. R. R., and ordered an election to be held on the 17th of July. Report of School Fund shows a balance of $7,180.85. Report of the finances for the year ending May 31, 1800, shows the collections were $14,805.37. Expenditures 10,889.50. Balance on hand $4,415.87. Am't of orders issued 9,537.83. Ani’t of orders outstanding 375.00. Refused to grant license to Patrick Barton to sell intoxicating liquors. The contract of building the Bedford bridge, was let to the “Wrought Iron Bridge Co.” of Canton, Ohio, for $2,200. The bridge is to be made of wrought iron of the Hammond patent, double T beam arch, consisting of one span of 100 feet in length and 14 feet in width In the clear, and to be floored with 2j inch plank and to be seton masonry. Awarded contract .of grade at the ends of the Bedford bridge to Patrick Halligan and John Lefler, for $600.00. Awarded contract for piers of same bridge to John Lefler and Patrick Halligan for $5 per perch solid ryAppropriated SSOO for survey of the I. D. & C. R. R. through Jasper county. Directed the Auditor to correspond with Insane Asylum to ascertain the cost of keeping John Thomas an harmless insane person of Newton tp., and if it can be procured for $6 per ,week, to take the necessary steps to have him cared for. Authorized the Auditor to refund Interest on school fund erroneously paid by Horace E. James. Tlie following change was made in liounderies of Union Township: “All that portion of country lying east of a line drawn from the south east corner of section 13 town 31 range. 7, thence south to the south east comer of section 36 town 30 range 7, shall be set over to Barkley township and all south of the line drawn from the south east corner of the north-east quarter of section 25 town 30 range 7 through the center of said section 25, to the center of section 26 in said town and range shall be set over to Marion township, and all lying south of a lino drown from the center of section 26 and running thence west through the centers of seetiens 27, 28, 29. and 80 town and range as above to the Newton county line shall be set over to Newton township.” - - Ordered a levy of fifty cents on the hundred dollars taxable property, to be made for county purposes, for the year 1869. ' Awarded the keeping of G. W. Stowers, pauper of Union township, to W. R. Nowles, for one year, for S2O payable quarterly. Charles Platt Treasurer elect filed his bond in the sum of $42,000. with John Cooper, Isaac V. Alter, Abraham Leopold, Thomas Robinson, H. E. Coen, John English, J. C. Henkle, John M. Gwinn, Wilborn Day, James Yeoman, M. H. Grant, John Phillips, Asa C. Porter, A. Parkison and W. K. Parkison os sureties, which was approved by the Board. Consideration of petition of James Maloy for license to sell liquor in the town of Rensselaer, postponed till September term.

Purcuplle is laboring under the weight of a new "star," and the oitv of Rensselear san now congratulate herself upon the resjioctable appearence of her efficient corps of one metripolltan police. Mr. F. W. Bedford has our thanks for the present of some splendid strawberries—many ol them weighed over an ounce oach, and one or two measured Jour inches in circumference. They were of the Triomph de Gaud variety. M. L- Spitler, County Clerk, started for Portland, Me., yesterday. He joins iris wife and family who have been visiting her relatives there, for a month or two past, and together they will visit the sea-side rosorta'of the New England States. Mr. Thos. Boroughs, county Treasurer, went to Indianapolis on Tuesday, to make his settlement with the Treasurer of State. Alfred Thompson, Esq., one of the Directors of the Indianapolis, Delphi and Chicago Railroad, lor thia county, went with him to attend a meeting of the Directors of that road which was held yesterday. D. 1809, .at the different voting places in tlie several townships* in Jasper county, Indiana, in manner and form prescribed by the general election law; aad each legal voter of said county will then have tlie privilege of voting for or against an appropriation of Forty-two Thousand Dollara, by said county, to aid in the construction of the Indianapolis, Delphi and Chicago Rail Road us prayed tor in a petition signed by more than one hundred resident freeholders of said county and presented at the June Term A. D. 1869 of the Board of Commissioners.
