Rogers was bound over in the sum of S2OO to appear for trial at .the next term of the Circuit Court. It is very doubtful if Rogers ia the guilty party. 53?“ Throughout the country, from east to west, from north to south, wherever grain has been sown, comes the report of the prospect ot a magnificent harvest. This is something to rejoice the hearts of everybody. But while mankind requires breadstuff's in abundance, vet it is written that “man shall not live by bread alone,” and vast herds of cattle arc driven into this county daily, brought hither to thrive and fatten upon the succulent grasses of our prairies.
