Swindling in High Places.
On last Frhiay the House of Representatives having under consideration the Indian Appropriation Bill, Mr. Lawbknce, ot Ohio, took occasion to denounce the wheie-policy of dealing with the Indians- as a vast system of fraud aad* eorroptipn, and characterized the Indian Bureau as a den of thieves. In the coarse of his remarks he said': “Treaties have been put through the Senate when there were not six , Senators present Every' ilian who participated in a fraud ot that sort is unfit to occupy a seat in a deliberative body.
