LIFE INSURANCE.
The Berkshire Life Insurance Company of Pittsfield, Mass., has now been m operation for over 1" years. It has during that time paid to the relatives of deceased policy holders near $400,000. It has in every instance met its liabilities promptly and to the entire satisfaction of all parties concerned. It insures Lqn_ajf_lqAji.aud favorable terms as any reliable company in the United States. But the great distinctive feature, which was first inaugurated by this company, and which has now become a law governing all Massachusetts companies, is the fact that no policy whatever can he forfeited from failure io'pdy premium* until the money value of the premiums already paid has run out.
Art example will state this thing jgpre_clearly: Suppose a person aged 35, by payment of an iimfual premium of $26 00, can secure a policy for SI,OOO, 1 annual premium will continue the policy in force 2 yearTanJ 3 Jaya ; 2 annuaT _premiums wilt continue the policy in force 4 years and 12 days; 3 annual premiums will continue the policy in force 6 years and 27 days. If such a person has paid three annual premiums, and from sickness, absence, or reverses in business, should be unable to pay another, the policy is not forfeited, but continues in force three years and twenty-seven days longer. If the insured should die during this latter period, the policy must still be paid by the Company. This obligation applies to every description of policy issued and at every age. -, For further particulars, wc refer .our readers toE. P.
